Maternal and Newborn Healthcare

Duration 66 minutes
In many parts of Laos, the majority of babies are born in the villages and rural health centers rather than in hospitals. Many health workers have had limited training in antenatal care of the mother, delivery of the baby and postnatal care of mother and child.

This resource helps to fill the knowledge gap. It provides a useful teaching aid in health worker colleges and is ideal for self-paced learning and in-service training in health centers. The resource is based on the WHO / UNFPA publication Pregnancy, Childbirth, Postpartum and Newborn Care: A guide to essential practice. 2006.

The narrations for video and Q&As are in Lao and English.
